Big favorite Felicia has been suffering from a sore throat and what appears to be a common cold. During rehearsals on Thursday, she had to hold back to save her voice.

I try not to talk too much, drink hot water, use my steam inhaler and rest as much as possible.

Several interviews have had to be canceled, but participation in the final – where she is tipped as number one by most betting sites and experts – is not yet threatened.

I've been to the doctor and they've confirmed that it's not tonsillitis at all. It could be stress, but I don't feel that stressed. The best thing is probably to just give it everything when it's needed, she says.

"I kept fainting"

Two weeks ago, Smash Into Pieces singer Chris Adam suffered from a stomach ache and had to be isolated before the band's performance in the semi-final in Malmö.

"We feel healthy now. We've probably been through the worst when Adam was sick," says Per Bergquist.

The singer was unwell and doesn't remember much of the performance.

I was so focused on getting through those three minutes. I remember when we were hoisted up above the stage and I was about to hit the highest note. I was about to faint because I had so little energy.

Do you do anything to avoid illness before the final?

We're constantly a bit stressed, but no, we're not. We've been hardened in our community for so long, shared viruses and seem to have built up the same immune system, says Per Bergquist.

Into a wheelchair

Brandsta City Släckers have been the sickest of all the participants. First, Olle Östberg had to get four stitches when he injured his finger during the semi-final in Gothenburg. With a week left until the final, he was admitted to hospital where it was discovered that he had acute gout.

He himself says, "I'm on my way. I want this to be a bomb," says Glenn Borgkvist.

During Thursday's rehearsals, Östberg was wheeled into a wheelchair. And the band has taken measures in case he becomes further ill.

He won't be able to go down the slide if we say so. We have a plan B, a person we have contacted and who it is natural that he would be involved in that case. But we can't reveal more, says Glenn Borgkvist.

Even Little Al-Fadji announces, in his own cryptic way, that he has some health problems.

"My neck is fucked up. But I made it here anyway, so I just have to drive, drive, drive," he says.
