Already in Planica two years ago, Sundling made history, as the first woman to take four World Championship golds. On Thursday, she took her fifth, and after the gold in the sprint, the 30-year-old's fourth consecutive championship on the distance, her leaders and teammates are ecstatic.

It's enormous to get four in a row, an enormous achievement. I count her among the greatest, says national team coach Stefan Thomson.

He says that Sundling is constantly taking steps in her development.

Her strength is that she is an enormous perfectionist, always hungry to take the next step. She always wants to move forward and every detail is perfect, he says.

"Hats off"

Maja Dahlqvist, fourth in the sprint final, agrees.

Four in a row, there's not much more to say than "hats off". If she's not the best ever, it's close.

She is impressed that the gold comes on the sprint distance.

I think it's so cool, because they only have one chance. Those who run distance have three races during a championship, says Dahlqvist, who will likely run the sprint relay with Sundling later during the World Championship.

So that's what I think is most impressive about the sprint, that everyone wants to be good that day. And she has been the last four times.

"Is a machine"

Johanna Hagström, who was eliminated in the semifinal after a fall:

So cool! She's kind of the greatest. It's totally insane.

Even Edvin Anger, who also had a tough day with a re-pass in the semifinal, praises his national team teammate.

Really impressive, awesome to see her do it that way. She's really a machine and keeps taking home those golds, says Anger.

Norwegian legend Marit Björgen won a total of four World Championship golds in the sprint, including three in a row from 2011 to 2015.
