International airlines should cancel all their flights to "the Israeli enemy's airports to protect their aircraft and passengers", the Houthi movement states in a statement early on Monday morning.
The group warns of more attacks on Ben Gurion, Israel's largest airport, a day after taking responsibility for the drone that crashed near the airport and caused minor injuries to six people.
At the same time, the movement accuses the US of carrying out around ten airstrikes against Yemen's capital Sanaa during the night to Monday. According to the Houthi-controlled news agency Saba, 14 people were injured in the attacks.
The Houthi movement, which controls large parts of Yemen, has repeatedly attacked Israel with drones and long-range missiles. It has also targeted many Israel-related targets in the Red Sea. The Iran-backed movement says it is acting in solidarity with the Palestinians in war-torn Gaza – also in Sunday's attack.
The US has been carrying out almost daily airstrikes against Yemen since mid-March.
