According to Saba, the attacks have been directed against the city of Hodeidah, which is controlled by the Houthis.
The Houthi movement earlier claimed to have carried out several attacks against an American aircraft carrier in the Red Sea. The alleged attack on USS Harry S Truman, the second within 24 hours, is said to be a response to Saturday's American airstrikes and is claimed to have been carried out using drones and rockets, according to a spokesperson for the Yemeni movement.
The US military has not commented on the reports, but an American defense source earlier on Sunday stated that several drones and a rocket were shot down at a safe distance from the American ships.
Many reported killed
Over 50 people are reported to have been killed and around 100 injured in American attacks on Yemen on Saturday, according to Houthi-controlled health authorities. According to the White House, several Houthi leaders were killed.
The US has promised to continue striking the Houthi movement as long as it threatens important shipping lanes off Yemen's coast, while the Iran-backed group has promised to escalate with attacks on both American and Israeli ships.
Disrupted trade
US President Donald Trump claims that Iran will be held accountable for attacks from the Houthi movement.
"All shots fired by the Houthis will from now on be seen as having been fired from and by IRAN'S leadership, and IRAN will be held accountable, and will face the consequences, and the consequences will be devastating!", Trump writes on Truth social.
The Houthi movement has since the start of the Gaza war disrupted global trade with a long series of attacks on civilian shipping.
Since the ceasefire in the war began in January, however, no ships have been attacked. But the movement recently announced that it intends to start attacking Israeli ships again due to Israel's blockade of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
