The confirmed victims range in age from one to 97, police chief Joe Chow said on Wednesday, according to the South China Morning Post (SCMP). 49 of them are men, 91 are women.
Chow warns that the death toll could rise further, even though the search operation is now formally over. Found skeletal remains will be examined to determine whether they are human or animal.
It is possible that some of the 30 or so people who are still missing will never be found, the police chief said, according to SCMP.
If the load-bearing wall has been burned to the point that only steel bars remain, we cannot rule out the possibility that the deceased has been burned to ashes.
37 injured people are still being treated in hospital, four of them with critical injuries.
On Wednesday and Thursday, some residents are allowed to return home to collect belongings.
