On Midsummer Eve itself, the national team prepares for the second group stage match against the Netherlands in Houston.
It's not a day suitable for stuffing yourself with different types of herring, various pies and other treats that belong to what is perhaps the most important weekend for Swedes.
"I don't know exactly what our talented chefs (Christophe Buchet and Jonas Svensson) are offering, but it will be a traditional midsummer lunch. Different kinds of herring, salmon, potatoes, strawberries and lots of vegetables, fruit and berries. There are of course also protein options," says Petra Thorén, the national team's press officer.
Midsummer feeling
"The players and families will probably get a Midsummer feeling from the lunch," she continues.
It is unclear what will happen with the flower wreaths and whether a Midsummer pole will be installed in any of the hotel's outdoor relaxation areas. Thorén asks to be allowed to return to these questions.
Her colleague Fredrik Castman Madestam is no stranger to leading games for the children who visit. Balancing an egg on a teaspoon is one of his favorites - a game that is, of course, also open to players and leaders who keep their childlike spirit intact.
Many family members and friends are already there for the game in Houston. They then take the chartered plane for the short trip to Dallas.
Important for players
Some players already have relatives with them.
"It's traditional to have this kind of arrangement. From what I know of Graham (the national team captain Potter), it's important to him that the players feel good and get time to be with their family," says Petra Thorén.
Anthony Elanga shone when he talked about the long-awaited meeting with his girlfriend and two-year-old daughter on Wednesday.
I haven't seen them in three or four weeks, so it was very nice.
The match against the Netherlands kicks off at 7:00 PM on Saturday.
