After 33 consecutive months at the top of the world ranking, the Swede will likely relinquish the top spot to American Kent Farrington later this week.
This is reported by Tidningen Ridsport, which has counted, in a news bulletin.
Henrik von Eckermann also appears to have studied the figures. He made a post on Instagram today with the tag "#untilwemeetagain".
The Swedish rider climbed to the top of the ranking throne in August 2022. Shortly thereafter, he was celebrated as a double World Champion, in team and individual events, after the success in Herning, Denmark.
Scott Brash is second on the list of riders who have been ranked world number one for the longest uninterrupted period. The Brit wore the white armband for 16 months.
In the latest ranking (April 1), von Eckermann's lead over Farrington was down to just 51 points, 3,278 to the American's 3,227.
