Henrik Larsson was eliminated already in the trials on 100 meters during the World Championship in Tokyo.

The 25-year-old became fourth in the second trial heat with a time of 10.22 seconds. Larsson was a hundredth from being among the top three who advanced to the semifinal.

I do not recognize myself. I am a better runner than I was two years ago and then I ran 10.16 and advanced to the semifinal, he says.

The time in Japan was eleven hundredths from his season best on 10.11 and a further three hundredths from his Swedish record on 10.08 from last year.

In the spring, Larsson took silver on 60 meters at the European Championship in Apeldoorn, Netherlands.

The Swede gets a new chance at the National Arena, when he competes on 200 meters which starts on Wednesday.
