The parties in the Folketing will meet after the summer to develop a roadmap for the fight against the larvae, BT reports.
On Wednesday, it was announced that the poisonous larvae had been found in 30 trees in three locations in the Amager Fælled nature reserve, just a few kilometres from the Öresund Bridge.
"We had hoped that it would be some time before the oak processionary moth reached Copenhagen. But now it is here," writes the capital municipality.
The venomous hairs of the so-called "hellworms", which easily detach and can then be spread several kilometres by the wind, can cause painful and difficult-to-heal injuries.
The larva has previously been found in western Jutland and in several places on Funen. On Thursday, Danish media reported that specimens have now been discovered for the first time in the municipality of Nordfyn.
