Gustaf Berglund was the best Swede in 15th place when Norway again stood for a demonstration of power in the 10 kilometer freestyle in Davos. For the Swedish skiers, things still look tough. You have to be honest and sober and look at the distances upwards, says coach Lars Ljung to Viaplay.

Berglund finished just over a minute behind Norwegian winner Einar Hedegart, who won his second freestyle mile race in a row.

Norway dominated the race, taking seven of the top eight places. Britain's Andrew Musgrave, who finished sixth, was the only one who could break into the Norwegian dominance.

Edvin Anger was the second best Swede in 20th place, 1.11 behind Hedegart.

When asked about the feeling of his form between sprint and distance, Anger told Viaplay:

It's the same all the time, the same bad. It'll be nice to have some Christmas time off and gather new energy.

With the Olympics in February in mind, the Swedish men have had a nightmare start to the season.

There is no difference from Trondheim, it's just that there are fewer Norwegians so the placements are better. So we have a lot to work on, says Lars Ljung when he compares it to last weekend's freestyle half marathon where Gustaf Berglund was also the best Swede, then in 29th place.

William Poromaa, Jens Burman and Calle Halfvarsson all stood above the Davos competitions.

Einard Hedegart is the biathlete who looks set to secure an Olympic spot in the 10 km freestyle event after winning the distance two weekends in a row in the World Cup. This time he was 11.7 seconds ahead of Harald Østberg Amundsen and Mattis Stenshagen came in third.

I don't belong to the national team so it feels fantastic to come from a private team and defeat everyone, Hedegart tells Viaplay.
