The police are handling several alarms about people carrying objects that are perceived to be real weapons, according to a press release.
This week, the police were called to Laholm after the public raised the alarm that a person had pointed a weapon at passersby. Several police patrols responded. It later turned out to be a toy gun.
"There are a few more alarms of that kind, and we will always take it seriously. I strongly advise those who have thought about bringing replicas and showing them to others," says Jörgen Karlsson, municipal police in Halland.
The police also urge parents to talk to their children about the consequences of alcohol, be aware of their whereabouts and be ready to pick them up if necessary.
"If you, as a guardian, know that your child is at a party or out late at night, then consider whether you have the opportunity to get in the car and pick up your child," says Jens, intervention police officer in Uppsala County, according to a press release.
