Viktor Gyökeres is going from strength to strength – and now he's netting too. His first league goal in six weeks came at Turf Moor where the winning machine Arsenal scored 2–0 at Burnley. Gyökeres had already been out for the day at half-time due to a muscle strain

In the 14th minute, he headed in a 1-0 lead. The international striker broke a five-game goal drought in the league. The goal was the 27-year-old's fourth league goal in ten games for the league leaders.

It can be described as one of his easier goals of the season. After a bit of luck with the ball bouncing on a corner, Gyökeres got the opportunity right on the goal line.

In the league, it is the striker's first goal since September 13, but he was responsible for two goals when Arsenal beat Atlético Madrid 4-0 in the Champions League on October 21.

Impressed

Gyökeres impressed in terms of play and is becoming increasingly integrated into an Arsenal that only wins and wins. The victory was the eighth consecutive in all competitions. For the seventh game in a row, Arsenal also kept a clean sheet.

The Swede was involved in the preparation for Declan Rice's header that made it 2–0.

Somewhat surprisingly, Gyökeres did not come out for the goalless second half.

Afterwards, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta explained to the BBC :

He felt something muscular.

Arteta praised the Swede.

His first half was one of the best he's played for us.

Diallo saved points

Manchester United immediately secured their fourth consecutive Premier League win. Casemiro put the visitors ahead away to Nottingham Forest but Morgan Gibbs-White equalised shortly after the break.

Just minutes later, Nicolo Savona made it 2–1 for Forest.

United pressed hard to get something from the City Ground. Bruno Fernandes hit the post, among others. In the end, Amad Diallo scored to make it 2–2.

Yasin Ayari started for Brighton, as did Gabriel Gudmundsson for Leeds. Ayari was clearly the happiest of the national team players at full-time. Brighton won 3–0.
