The initiative is included in the party's spring budget motion and is intended as an extra supplement for single parents supporting their children.
For a single parent with two children, the supplement, together with the general increase of 350 kronor per month in child benefit that MP proposed last fall, would mean 2,300 kronor more per month.
According to MP, single parents in particular have been hit hard by government policies in recent years.
Time and again, tax cuts for the rich have had to take precedence over support for those who need it most, says spokesperson Amanda Lind.
The investment is estimated to cost SEK 2 billion per year. The MP's shadow budget has not yet been presented in its entirety, but according to Amanda Lind, the proposal is "fully funded."
