On Saturday, several people were killed in or near the southern city of Khan Yunis, according to spokesperson Mahmud Bassal.

Mourners are gathering at Nasser Hospital in the city.

”Lying on the street”

A robot from an F-16 plane destroyed the entire house, and all the victims were civilians – my sister, her husband, and their children, says Wissam al-Madhoun.

We found them lying on the street. What had this child done (Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu?

Israel's military says it cannot comment on individual attacks without knowing their "specific geographic coordinates".

In the past 24 hours, nearly 80 dead bodies have been brought to the hospital, according to the Hamas-controlled health department in the Gaza Strip. The figure does not include hospitals in the northern parts of Gaza, which are described as inaccessible.

Pediatrician Alaa Najjar, who works at Nasser Hospital, was on duty on Friday when her family was attacked. When she ran home, she saw the burning house in Khan Yunis, according to the head of Najjar's unit.

At the scene, her husband was seriously injured, and their only surviving child – an 11-year-old boy – was critically injured. The nine other children, aged between seven months and 12 years old, were killed.

Israel's military has not yet commented on the attack.

The military's air forces have attacked more than 100 targets around Gaza in the past 24 hours, saying they have hit, among other things, "terror organizations in the Gaza Strip" and terror infrastructure.
