The convoy consisting of 14 buses and around 100 other vehicles returned to Tunis on Thursday, reports the news agency EFE.
The caravan left Tunisia on June 10 with the plan to cross Libya, enter Egypt and from there proceed to Rafah in southern Gaza Strip. But already in militia-controlled eastern Libya it stopped, after the military leader Khalifa Haftar did not allow the vehicles to cross the region.
Several of the participants were arrested by Haftar's forces. All were released later on condition that they would return to Tunisia.
All participants are doing well, says convoy member Aymen Bhiri to EFE on Thursday.
The around 1,500 activists intended to symbolically break Israel's blockade against Gaza Strip.
