Four Russian journalists are sentenced to five years and six months in prison each after being accused of extremism.
The journalists are accused of having ties to an anti-corruption group that has been labeled as "extremist" in Russia. The group was founded by the late opposition politician and regime critic Aleksej Navalnyj, and the labeling has been widely seen as politically motivated.
All four journalists maintain that they are innocent and claim that they have been prosecuted for doing their job.
The trial is part of a widespread crackdown on dissent that has reached an unprecedented scale following Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
