On Sunday, outgoing Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen (S) invited the Socialist People's Party, the Radical Left and the Moderates to negotiations at the Marienborg residence.
After arriving in the afternoon, the three visiting party leaders - Pia Olsen Dyhr (SF), Martin Lidegaard (RV) and Lars Løkke Rasmussen (M) - went home at around 9 pm.
"We have had a good, efficient and hectic day," Martin Lidegaard said to TV2.
On Saturday, Mette Frederiksen was given a new chance by King Frederik X to form a government in what are already record-breaking negotiations following the March 24 election. Frederiksen failed in her first exploratory attempts, after which Liberal Left party leader Troels Lund Poulsen was given the assignment but also passed.
