It was the TV4 Football Channel that first revealed that the Danish major club FC Copenhagen wants to invest big on the other side of the strait.
FCK and FC Rosengård have had a minor collaboration since last year, but now there are plans to significantly deepen the relationship.
Rosengård, whose men's team currently plays in Division 1, called an extraordinary annual meeting on Monday, December 2. And Rosengård confirms that what will be discussed is a proposal for a corporation and an expanded and long-term investment in the club's men's team.
According to the proposal, Rosengård will enter into a partnership with a newly formed company owned by current main sponsor Danir and FC Copenhagen's owner Parken Sports and Entertainment A/S.
"The purpose behind the proposed incorporation is to focus on talent development, sporting achievements in football and commercial initiatives. The parties plan to make a long-term investment with the ambition to elevate the team to the highest possible level and to develop more skilled, young players," the club writes.
Rosengård's football manager Roger Palmgren opened up about an expanded collaboration with FCK last year, in the podcast Lundh.
"They want our men's team to get into the Allsvenskan as soon as possible, because then it will be a farm club for them. Then they will stay at the top," Palmgren said at the time.
