While Russia's President Vladimir Putin has invited various leaders to celebrate the victory in World War II on Friday, a plethora of EU representatives are instead expected to turn up in Ukraine.

Those who truly support peace cannot stand side by side with Putin, notes the Foreign Minister Kallas at a press conference in Warsaw after this week's informal foreign ministers' meeting in Poland.

Kallas is taking a fresh payment of one billion euros in support to Ukraine.

We will also tomorrow the final political approval to create a war crimes tribunal for aggression crimes, she reports.

There will be accountability for the crimes committed, even by those who really started this war, promises Kallas.

In parallel, EU countries are working further on their 17th sanctions package, which they hope to agree on already by mid-May.

Since the Russians so much want to get the sanctions lifted, it's clear that they bite, notes Poland's Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski.
