However, Šuica will participate only in the part of Thursday's meeting that concerns the future of Gaza, Euronews reports.
The so-called Peace Council was created to oversee the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas and the reconstruction of Gaza. However, its charter suggests a broader mission. 19 countries were on board when the council, chaired by President Trump, was formally established in Davos in January.
Since then, a few more have joined, but most of the invited Western countries, including Sweden, have declined. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, who was invited, is sending Šuica instead.
Italy, Romania, Greece and Cyprus are participating as observers, according to media reports.
