Compared to September last year, sales increased by eleven percent.
The increase during September means that e-commerce sales are estimated to have grown by thirteen percent during the third quarter compared to the same period in 2024. Swedish Trade describes it as a "clear turning point" after the first two quarters of the year with negative sales growth.
"After a tough start to the year, we finally see how e-commerce is getting wind in its sails again. Households' economy has brightened somewhat," says Per Ljungberg, innovation manager at Swedish Trade, in a press release.
The increase is mainly due to the fact that those who shop online spend more than before, as the number of consumers remains at the same levels as last year.
