A deliciously twisted cross and a well-placed shot into the corner. Yohanna could not have presented himself better in his first start of the year. Goalkeeper David Andersson, recently signed from IFK Norrköping, had no chance against either of Yohanna's left-foot shots.
"It's a great feeling to score two goals. I'm really happy, as is the whole team," Zadok Yohanna tells Expressen.
Thanking the fans
He also thanked the club's supporters for the support he has received since joining the club last year.
The goals were enough for AIK to pass Häcken and take first place in the group on goal difference.
Advancement was definitely secured when Bersant Celina made it 3–0 and Erik Flataker scored a fourth in the final minutes.
Häcken found themselves in a difficult position when Silas Andersen picked up two yellow cards before the break. Before he had to leave the field, Adrian Svanbäck had an open goal but headed it against the crossbar.
In addition, Kristoffer Nordfeldt made a sharp save when AIK led by a single goal. Häcken believed that the ball had crossed the goal line when Nordfeldt pushed it away.
Derby in the quarter-finals
Shortly after the match at Strawberry Arena, the quarter-finals were drawn (to be played this weekend). AIK will face Gais away and there will also be a hot Stockholm derby between Hammarby and Djurgården.
Other matches: Sirius–IFK Gothenburg, Mjällby–Malmö FF.
The semi-finals were also drawn. There, Mjällby/Malmö FF will face Gais/AIK and Hammarby/Djurgården will face Sirius or IFK Göteborg at home. The matches will be played on the weekend of March 21–22.
The final will be played on May 14.
