Södertälje traveled to Stockholm and Hovet as the table leader in Hockey Allsvenskan.
They left as something else.
The home team dominated, set the pace, and won 4–0.
And it was largely thanks to the club's most experienced players: Patrick Thoresen, Linus Klasen, and Dick Axelsson.
38-year-old Klasen got hold of a rebound and scored 1–0 at the end of the first period. In the second, 41-year-old Thoresen scored 2–0.
I had a bit of flow, I didn't even see where he shot, says the Norwegian to TV4 Play.
In the third, Axelsson, 37, scored 3–0 on a power play – which was his seventh consecutive match as a goal scorer and is thus one match away from equaling the record in Hockey Allsvenskan.
For Södertälje's part, the loss means they are no longer at the top of the table.
Bik Karlskoga – who had 21–2 in shots after two periods – is the new leader after 5–0 at home against Västerås.
