The mostly white-clad ice hockey audience in Tegera arena in Leksand had to stand up both after 8.24 and 8.44 in the first period since Stefan Milosevic and Gabriel Fortier put the pucks behind Djurgården's goalkeeper Magnus Hellberg.
But in the middle of the second period, the away team from Stockholm initiated the catch-up. Joe Snively scored 1–2 in powerplay after 11.02 and Gustav Lindström equalized to 2–2 after 17.20.
In the third, Djurgården completed the turnaround when Joey LaLeggia shot the 3–2 puck up into the net behind Marcus Gidlöf after 5.46. In the spring, the 20-year-old Gidlöf guarded Djurgården's goal when the rival AIK was defeated in the hockeyallsvenska final and the team made it back to SHL after three years in the second division.
The 3–2 win means that Djurgården remains in sixth place in a halting SHL table. Leksand sank to tenth place with the loss.
In the early series final between Frölunda and Rögle in front of over 12,000 spectators in Scandinavium in Gothenburg, the home team won with 4–1.
Frölunda thereby broke the Ängelholm team's streak of five straight wins and expanded the series lead from two to five points.
