This confirms the rumors that have been circulating during the autumn.
This will be the fourth time that Gina Dirawi has hosted the competition – a record for a female host – but for Hampus Nessvold it is his debut.
"It's been ten years since I last met the audience, and I've missed it. Melodifestivalen is a very unique stage to stand on. To now be able to come back for the fourth time to the place that made me feel at home as a child, and also together with Hampus, feels incredibly fun," says Gina Dirawi in the press release.
Hampus Nessvold counters with:
"Mello must be our last campfire TV, right? I'm so happy and honored to be a part of it."
SVT's project manager Anders Wistbacka is "incredibly happy" that the duo will lead the competition, which begins in Linköping on March 31.
"Both Hampus and Gina are very successful in their own right and now they will be working together for the first time on the Melodifestivalen stage," he says.
