Roony Bardghji and Gustav Lundgren will get their chance from the start. Graham Potter makes major changes to the men's football team's starting eleven for tonight's World Cup qualifier against Slovenia.

Potter makes nine changes compared to Saturday's match against Switzerland. Only Daniel Svensson and Mattias Svanberg retain their starting spots.

Against Switzerland, defender Emil Holm was injured and nine players risk suspension in the playoff semi-final in March if they receive a yellow card. Of the nine players, only Emil Krafth will start.

"The yellow card situation has of course had an impact on the squad selection. We also have players who have left the squad. But this gives us a chance to see other players who have trained very well this week, we have had a fantastic week," says Graham Potter.

Another notable change in the lineup is that Barcelona player Roony Bardghji will get a chance from the start. 30-year-old Gustav Lundgren will also make his national team debut.

About his attacking duo Bardghji and Isac Lidberg, Potter says:

"Roony is a young player who has come into the group well and now he gets an opportunity to show his qualities from the start. Isac gives us clarity with his way of playing."

Jacob Widell Zetterström makes his first competitive international appearance. He played half-time against Iceland on the January tour in 2023.

"Jacob has been training really well this week, he is in great form and has been nominated for the Championship goalkeeper of the month. I am really looking forward to seeing him play tonight," says Graham Potter.

Starting line-up: Jacob Widell Zetterström – Emil Krafth, Carl Starfelt, Victor Nilsson Lindelöf, Daniel Svensson – Gustav Lundgren, Mattias Svanberg, Besfort Zeneli, Ken Sema – Roony Bardghji, Isac Lidberg.

Kick-off is 8:45 p.m. at Strawberry Arena.
