The final round of the Allsvenskan next weekend will be a shocker for the teams involved in the fight for the bottom. Degerfors tied late at home against Hammarby and took an important point in the fight for survival. Öster, in the relegation zone, and IFK Norrköping, just above the qualifying line, are also at risk of going out.

After the meeting between Degerfors and Hammarby at Stora Valla, Degerfors has gained a small, but important, grip on the qualifying spot in the Allsvenskan.

Before kick-off, Degerfors was below the relegation zone, on goal difference behind Öster. But after a 1-1 draw against Hammarby, the team from Värmland now passes their competitor with one round remaining.

However, the away team Hammarby broke the deadlock. 17-year-old Adrian Lahdo scored for the first time in the Allsvenskan when he scored 1–0.

Degerfors refused to give up. With just over ten minutes left, Elias Barsoum stepped forward again. The match winner against Öster last time was the savior this time when he scored a 1-1 goal from distance.

"I've been working more on being hungrier in the box and wanting to score. I compete a little with Dijan (Vukojevic) after practice, we've talked about daring to shoot," Barsoum tells HBO Max.

The result stood, and the points could prove to be worth gold for Degerfors, who in the final round will face Brommapojkarna away – while Öster will host Djurgården at home.

IFK Norrköping will face IFK Gothenburg away.

The Brommapojkarna boys will play in the Allsvenskan in 2026, it is clear after Monday's results.
