I've just turned down two major international productions. I'm going with my gut feeling, she tells TT.

This day in Berlin is all about the press. After TT's interview, she will spend another three hours talking to the international press. What do they ask about? Ingmar Bergman, of course, since Tomas Alfredson's TV series "Trolösa" is based on his script.

I explain to them that it's originally his text, but then they took the skeleton and created a Tomas Alfredson series. It's not a Bergman biopic, if anyone thought that. We're telling our version, she says.

"Fantastic opportunity"

In cold and snowy Berlin, Frida Gustavsson is spending intense days socializing with her Shooting Star colleagues, networking, giving interviews, and meeting agents and producers who might be interested in future collaborations.

It's casting directors from all over the world. It's a fantastic opportunity, a springboard, where I can also pay tribute to Tomas and Bergman.

She doesn't have an expressed dream of making it to Hollywood.

In the end, Hollywood is a budget, it's not always about finding what you want to do there. When I get an offer, I don't think genre, what's important is who the person is. I don't have an ego where I want to do leading roles, if I feel it's a task for me, I can do anything.

Starred in "Vikings: Valhalla"

She enjoys doing action, which was evident in "Vikings: Valhalla", where she played the shieldmaiden Freydis. But there are definitely action films that she chooses to opt out of.

Those films where the woman is just supposed to be decorative next to the male hero. There are many films where the female roles are dull and diminishing caricatures.

At the same time, she means that it has gotten better in other aspects, nowadays there are more older women visible in film and TV.

And in France, the Pelicot case has started a reaction against patriarchy. Women want to be seen as humans. And female directors, like Coralie Fargeat with "The Substance", have started using body horror as a medium.

This week, Frida Gustavsson is heading home to Stockholm. She has two new projects waiting for her this year – but they are still secret.

Age: 31 years.

Family: Husband Marcel Engdahl.

Lives: In Stockholm.

Occupation: Actress.

Previous roles in selection: "Eld & lågor", "The Witcher", "Vikings: Valhalla", "De utvalda", "Tigrar", "Partisan", "Dampyr".

Currently: In the TV series "Trolösa", which is currently airing on SVT, and Sweden's Shooting Star at the Berlin film festival.
