In a formal question, Nawa is asked to provide information on how a country in "an active war situation" has managed to build five times as much land-based wind power as Denmark in recent years, and how this affects the Danish ambition to be "a green pioneer country".
Nawa defends herself by saying that Ukraine is 14 times larger, and that renewable energy already accounted for “around 80 percent of the total Danish electricity supply” by 2024. She also writes that Denmark - which has some of the world’s largest wind companies - is actively supporting the expansion in Ukraine.
The minister also mentions energy security. Wind farms are difficult to knock out militarily because they are so spread out, writes the Ritzau news agency.
