The cyberattack is confirmed by Prime Minister Donald Tusk's chief of staff Jan Grabiec.
According to Grabiec, the attack, which began on Friday morning, was a so-called ddos attack where it was subjected to overload.
In the presidential election on Sunday, several candidates are running, including Karol Nawrocki from the high nationalist party Law and Justice (PIS).
The incumbent president Andrzej Duda, also belongs to the previously ruling party PIS, is on a direct collision course with the ruling coalition government. The election is therefore of great importance for the country's political direction and Prime Minister Tusk's ability to implement government policy. The president has, among other things, the opportunity to veto certain government decisions.
If no candidate receives over 50% of the votes, a second and decisive round awaits on June 1.
Duda cannot run for re-election since a time limit applies to Polish presidents.
