Rosengård continues to be a completely unstoppable team in the women's top league.
The Scanians beat Kif Örebro 4–0, have twelve consecutive wins, and are now also historically tight at the back.
It's a team effort, says Rosengård's goalkeeper Eartha Cumings to Viaplay.
Rosengård has already started the season historically well with maximum 36 points from twelve matches. The last three came on Thursday when they defeated Kif Örebro 4–0.
Now the team is also historically tight in defensive terms.
The Malmö team, and especially the Scottish goalkeeper Eartha Cumings, have now kept a clean sheet in eight consecutive matches, and thereby surpass Hammarby's Anna Tamminen's record of 757 minutes.
"Haha, I didn't know that"
Last time the 25-year-old conceded a goal was in the 13th minute when the team won 6–1 against Linköping on 5 May. This means she is now well over 800 minutes without conceding a goal.
A record she herself had no idea she was about to break.
Oh? Haha, I didn't know that, she says to Viaplay after the match.
"Everyone sacrifices themselves"
Cumings is, however, humble, and thinks it's more of a team effort than her own record.
It feels amazing, but I honestly think it doesn't have much to do with just me, but the whole team. I hardly have to make any saves, they're incredible in defence. Everyone sacrifices themselves all the time. Gudrun (Arnardottir), Jess (Wiik), Beccs (Knaak), Hali (Ayinde)..., yes, everyone in the team! So, it's a team effort, she says.
Cumings joined Rosengård in August 2023, and has previously represented English clubs like Liverpool, Everton, Charlton, and Bristol City.
In the parallel match played at the same time, Häcken faced table-bottom Trelleborg. Häcken won 2–0, and are thereby still seven points behind Rosengård in the table.
