Hungary's election winner, opposition leader Péter Magyar, won a total of 141 out of 199 seats, according to the country's electoral authority. That's three more than the preliminary figures showed - and even then it was clear that Magyar had achieved a so-called supermajority, i.e., two-thirds of the seats.
“An unprecedented majority,” Magyar wrote on X.
The election was held last Sunday.
Magyar is likely to be sworn in as the new prime minister in the first half of May.
