The veteran actor thinks there should be more roles for older people.

"It's time. I'm longing for a good movie role to tie a bow on my film career."

While she waits for the offer, she appears in Stig Björkman's documentary film "Christina - the last performance" which premieres on SVT Play on May 10. The film takes its starting point in the rehearsals for Teater Galeasen's production of "Fanny and Alexander", but also partly addresses her career.

Grieving for her husband

In addition, the grief over the death of her husband Hans Wahlgren is depicted.

Does it bring back memories?

"I've had time to process the grief and go through the whole process. I think I've managed to transform the sadness and longing for Hans into joy and gratitude that we had 67 years together," she says.

Christina Schollin describes it as an "epoch" in her life.

- Now a new era begins. And I am learning to live with my loneliness. It is work that must be done. I have phrased it as I am learning to live as a single person - but perhaps I should say unique instead.

For the older generation, Christina Schollin is the film and theater actress who has "always" been there. For a younger generation, she is known as "Bianca Ingrosso's grandmother" from the TV series "Wahlgren's World".

She seems to be taking the series with a kick in the ass.

"It's not something I count on just because I'm sometimes in it. They continue to do it, and I've shot several episodes that are coming up. But I don't count it as one of my major acting achievements."

Wants to film

This year marks 70 years since she made her film and theatre debut. She met her future husband Hans a few years later when they both appeared in the film "Raggare". Her last major dramatic film role was in "Fanny and Alexander" 40 years ago, but she would like to replace that "last" with "latest".

She has also said that the theater production of "Fanny and Alexander" would be her farewell to the stage, but a director has contacted her and wants her to return to Dramaten. "So now I don't really know," says Christina Schollin.

"Theater has been important to me. I've done film and TV, but it's the way with us actors that if we started our education with theater, as most people do, theater is the most enriching thing we come back to."
