A 23-year-old man and two children, aged eight and ten, were killed in an attack targeting the village of Tammun, according to the Palestinian governor of the area, Ahmad Assad. The victims were named and are said to have been part of the same family.
According to the governor, the man and the children were in front of their home when they were killed. The AFP news agency's correspondent has been to the scene and reports that the building was damaged by shrapnel.
Assad and residents of Tammun claim that the Israeli military took care of the remains.
From the Israeli side, it is reported that an airstrike was carried out against a "terror cell" in the Tammun area, without any mention of casualties so far.
The Palestinian Foreign Ministry, which is under the Palestinian Authority on the West Bank, accuses Israel of attacking civilians under the pretext that they are armed opponents.
Israel regularly conducts raids and attacks on the West Bank, alongside the war in Gaza. On Monday, three Israelis were killed when armed individuals fired at a vehicle on a road near Israeli settlements in the northern part of the area.
Since the Gaza war broke out, at least 825 Palestinians have been killed in a parallel spiral of violence on the West Bank, according to figures from the Palestinian healthcare system. During the same period, at least 28 Israelis have been killed, according to Israeli figures.
