If a government coalition falls, I would consider it likely that smaller parties may want to cooperate in a new coalition to pass reasonable policies, Thand Ringqvist says during a conversation with journalists in the Riksdag.
Christian Democrats party leader Ebba Busch has said she should not be taken for granted. She has also called for a cross-bloc agreement on energy policy.
I interpret it as meaning that you should listen to what she says, Thand Ringqvist says.
The Centre leader believes that KD is open to sitting in government with S, MP and C.
I don't rule it out, she says.
A solid red line
This weekend, the Left Party also decided at its congress that it will demand ministerial posts after the election in the event of a red-green election victory, and that it will vote against any government it is not part of.
Thand Ringqvist, for her part, reiterates that C will never allow the Left Party into a government or support a government that includes V. Not even if it leads to a new election.
"It's a completely red line," she says.
C also intends to vote against any government with V, primarily because of economic policy.
Yes. We have said very clearly that we cannot sit in government with the Left Party; we will not support or sit in government.
Busch responds with a picture
On X, Ebba Busch responds to Thand Ringqvist's statement with a picture of herself and the three other party leaders in the Tidö Collaboration. She writes:
"Elisabeth Thand Ringqvist is trying to find a way to get around the Left Party's congress decision, which de facto means that a red-green majority would equal new elections. We will never support a government that stands for disorder - in legal policy, migration policy and the economy. We look forward to four more years of law and order."
