"If we are part of the government coalition after the election, we will ensure that the agricultural budget is large enough to enable us to invest in Swedish agriculture, strengthen food security and the green transition," writes Thand Ringqvist in a debate article in Expressen.
To strengthen profitability and efficiency, the Centre Party (C) wants to see an agricultural deduction that would mean a 7 percent tax cut for agricultural companies, as well as a halving of bureaucracy. Furthermore, young farmers should be able to take out a special start-up loan.
The Centre Party also wants to set a goal of half a million more grazing animals in the country. "This would strengthen food production, biodiversity and create the confidence in the future that the industry needs," writes Thand Ringqvist and continues:
"Sweden needs more Swedish food and more open landscapes. And that's exactly what we demand to be included in the next government coalition."
