The Center Party's budget proposal is mainly about the so-called ESR goals, regarding emissions related to traffic and heating of houses, which is one of the goals Sweden seems to be missing.
It is concrete, fully financed and fully calculated. It can be implemented already now, says party leader Anna-Karin Hatt about the plan.
The bonus for so-called environmental cars is intended to reach 100,000 households per year until 2030, when a total of half a million households will have been reached by it. Residents in rural areas will be prioritized.
The Center Party has allocated five billion kronor for the goal, which according to the party is expected to reduce ESR emissions by 2.7 million tons by 2030.
The Center Party also wants Sweden to introduce a "strategic reserve of biofuel", which according to the party will result in an emission reduction of 6 million tons.
It gives households a fossil-free biofuel at a stable low price, much lower than the reduction obligation and quite close to the current price at the pump, says Martin Ådahl, economic policy spokesperson.
They also want to broaden the green deduction so that the last oil boilers can be phased out, which would result in an emission reduction of 200,000 tons according to the Center Party's calculation.
The party also proposes that the so-called Industrial Step should be broadened and doubled. This would result in emission reductions of 10 million tons by 2030, but is not included in the ESR goal.
Sweden's overall climate goal is that Sweden should not have any net emissions of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere by 2045 at the latest.
An intermediate goal is that emissions in 2030 should be 63 percent lower than emissions in 1990.
Another intermediate goal is that emissions from domestic transport, except domestic flights, should be reduced by at least 70 percent by 2030 compared to 2010.
The EU's so-called ESR commitment, which mainly concerns transport and agriculture, means that Sweden should reduce emissions by 50 percent by 2030 compared to 2005.
