No wins and barely any goals made. Buffalo's start to the NHL season is simply too poor, admits Swedish team captain Rasmus Dahlin. It is not good enough, he says.

Tage Thompson was Buffalo's only goal scorer in the 1–3 loss to Colorado. It was the team's third loss in as many hockey matches this NHL season.

It's not good enough, says Swedish star defender and Buffalo's team captain Rasmus Dahlin.

We need to lift ourselves, this is not acceptable, says Dahlin to nhl.com.

It's not good enough, and it applies to many parts of the game. We started better today but finished worse. We're not playing well in powerplay. The game in numerical disadvantage was good, the goalkeeper game was good, but we're not getting it done. We need to get out of this.

The 25-year-old also criticizes his own performance.

It was not good enough either, we lost after all.

Not only has Buffalo lost three straight matches. So far, they have only managed to score two goals.

We are missing some players at the moment, but of course we need to score more goals if we are to win some hockey matches.

Even last year, Buffalo started with three straight losses. The team has also missed the Stanley Cup playoffs 14 seasons in a row – a bottom record in the NHL.

Maybe the first win can come on Thursday night. Then the next home game awaits, against Ottawa.

We must make it easier for ourselves. And we must score more goals. Our powerplay must get better, it's not good enough. We have no choice, there are 79 matches left.
