The shortage of animals for slaughter caused the price of minced meat to rise another 2.3 percent in January, while coffee became 2 percent more expensive.
The meat crisis is expected to persist, but the outlook for coffee is brighter. Coffee prices are predicted to drop during the spring as the price of raw coffee has fallen back, according to Matpriskollen.
Overall, food prices rose 0.1 percent in January; compared to last year, they are up 1.6 percent.
Ulf Mazur, CEO of Matpriskollen, is pleased that the rate of increase has stopped.
"But it is worrying that many items are becoming so much more expensive," he says in a press release.
Among the biggest risers are Felix meatballs, which have become 13 percent more expensive at Coop, and Ekströms blueberry soup, which increased 21 percent at ICA Kvantum.
