Arsenal Delays Liverpool's Title Celebration

Liverpool will have to wait to celebrate the Premier League title. Arsenal took the away match against Ipswich very seriously, just days after the display against Real Madrid. The 4–0 victory at Portman Road put a stop to any potential celebrations already now.

Despite the discharge on Wednesday, when Arsenal also won the away return in the Champions League quarterfinal against Real, manager Mikel Arteta only rested three players from the starting eleven at Santiago Bernabéu.

Jurriën Timber, Miles Lewis-Skelly, and Thomas Partey began on the bench.

Two goals by Trossard

Two-goal shooter Leandro Trossard, one of the players who got the chance from the start, rolled in the lead goal. Then Gabriel Martinelli scored his 50th goal for Arsenal after an elegant buildup.

Ipswich's Leif Davis got a red card for a foul tackle from behind on Bukayo Saka. The English national team star could continue, but limped off after an hour of play and got an ice pack wrapped around his right foot.

The loss means that Ipswich is practically relegated.

Arsenal will likely not be able to threaten Liverpool for the Premier League title, as the distance is too great and the number of remaining matches too few, but the second-placed team needs to watch out for the clubs chasing from behind.

Liverpool's lead is 13 points after the 1–0 away win against Leicester. Trent Alexander-Arnold decided with a quarter of an hour left to play and simultaneously relegated Leicester to the second division.

Can take the title on Sunday

Liverpool secures the title with a win at home against Tottenham in a week.

Alex Iwobi scored early 1–0 for Fulham, but Tyrique George and Pedro Neto turned the match around for Chelsea in the London derby at Craven Cottage.

Victor Nilsson Lindelöf played from the start for Manchester United. The national team captain left Old Trafford in the 79th minute as a loser. Wolverhampton's Pablo Sarabia scored the only goal of the match.
