The injuries have been numerous and the most talked about have been his shoulder, back and knees. But the list is much more detailed than that, as Walter Wallberg made clear earlier at the Olympics in Italy.
The 25-year-old was also clear about when he was ready to tell everything.
After the dual moguls, which was another disappointment after fourth place in singles, he spoke out.
"My back is the same and I wear a brace. The discs are compressed and I have a stress fracture. The meniscus, they think it's wear and tear; the cruciate ligament, cartilage damage, so there are pieces of bone scattered in the knee," he says.
"My left hamstring has taken a lot of abuse because I've overused it since my right one is bad."
“So fucking big”
The moguls star has called his Olympic participation "inhumane" and said that "ordinary people would have given up quickly."
Even national team colleague Rasmus Stegfeldt, who disappeared in the round of 16, has been impressed by Wallberg's fight.
"Even I don't know everything. He's made a journey that I don't think anyone else could have made. It's so fucking big that he even made it here, with all the hesitation and so little training. What he's doing here... doesn't exist. It's so fucking cool," he says.
Walter Wallberg nevertheless got through the pain, partly with painkillers and various treatments from visiting physiotherapist Vladimir Egerov.
But now it may be over.
After several years of fighting pain and injuries - to defend the Olympic gold medal from Beijing 2022 - it's time to take care of his body.
Hoping for my friend Poromaa
"I have a round trip to Japan (the World Cup) but I'll see if I can get on that flight. I'll keep my fingers crossed that William Poromaa does a fucking 50-kilometre race, so I can stay home and celebrate him instead of going and riding a mogul in Japan. I'm not really keen on that," he says.
Is there a comeback in moguls for you?
"Yes, I'm not ready. Whether you'll see me in Japan or in a year, we'll see. But I have a few things to deal with and discuss with my doctors."
