”A fair portrayal”. That's what fashion mogul Anna Wintour says when she for the first time comments on the movie ”The Devil Wears Prada”.

For years, Anna Wintour has been silent about what she really thinks about the at least pungent portrayal of the fashion industry – and herself – in the 2006 film.

In the film, Meryl Streep plays the editor-in-chief of the fictional magazine Runway, a role based on Wintour and her role as editor-in-chief of American Vogue.

In the podcast "Run through with Vogue" Wintour tells that she had no idea what to expect when she saw the film at the cinema, and that she did not take offense at how she was portrayed.

It was a caricature. The film had a lot of humor, and Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt were incredible. In the end, I think it was a fair portrayal, she says in the podcast.

Streep was Oscar-nominated for the role, and the film also won three Golden Globes in the categories best film, female lead and female supporting role.

Recordings of a sequel to the film are in full swing. In it, among others, Streep, Emily Blunt, Anne Hathaway and Stanley Tucci reprise their roles.

This summer, 75-year-old Wintour announced that she is leaving the post of Vogue's editor-in-chief after 37 years.
