Felix Monsén was not selected for the Olympics and was upset. In the first competition after the announcement, the Swede finished 27th.

Sunday's World Cup downhill race in Crans-Montana is not a memorable one for Felix Monsén. The Swede finished in 27th place out of a total of 60 riders, 1.95 seconds behind the winner.

The result comes after the 31-year-old criticized SOK for not being awarded an Olympic spot. SOK pointed out that Monsén did not meet the criteria for an Olympic spot during the season.

But Monsén wasn't the skier who had the worst day. Henrik von Appen, who competes for Chile, crashed badly during his run. Von Appen received treatment for around 25 minutes and was then airlifted by helicopter. The competition was paused for just over half an hour.

The Swiss Franjo von Allmen won the competition with a time of 1:55.00.
