Adidas – with Norwegian Bjørn Gulden as CEO – expects a profit of 1.7-1.8 billion euros this year according to a new forecast. Increased demand for classic shoe models from Adidas, such as Samba and Campus, is behind the development.

Adidas' forecast is slightly below the average forecast among market analysts. They expect an average Adidas profit of almost 2.1 billion euros this year. However, Adidas is traditionally conservative in their forecasts and, for example, raised their profit forecast three times last year.

In the fourth quarter of 2024, Adidas' sales increased by 16 percent in China and 25 percent in Europe. The growth in the USA was 15 percent. The sales increases generated a profit of 57 million euros in the fourth quarter, which can be compared to a loss during the corresponding quarter a year earlier.

American Nike is still the industry leader, despite some setbacks in recent times.

Adidas' share has, after a 32 percent increase last year, so far this year moved sideways.
