Last summer, a man in his 20s was shot dead with eleven shots in Bagaregården in central Gothenburg – an event that the district court describes as a "regular execution".
Now, a 17-year-old boy is sentenced to seven years in prison for the murder, which is believed to be linked to a gang conflict between southern and northern Biskopsgården.
Gothenburg-Posten has previously reported that the murder victim wanted to leave the gang environment. According to prosecutor Per-Erik Rinsell, however, there are also information pointing in another direction.
There is information in the investigation that he left the network environment. But there is also information suggesting that he may still have been there, he said in connection with the indictment.
A few hours before the murder, on July 4 this year, two men were shot in Partille. It is believed to have led to the murder that the 17-year-old is now being sentenced for.
The Gothenburg District Court writes in a press release that the sentence is relatively long and for an adult would have corresponded to a life sentence.
