16:21 SOS alarm about traffic accident on county road 128 outside Sävsjö. According to the alarm, a passenger car is said to have driven into an elk. 

17:03 Police patrol on site. The driver of the passenger car, a 55-year-old man, has been taken to hospital by ambulance. Slightly injured. The elk is said to have been lying on the road injured after the collision. A hunter has therefore been called to the scene to minimize the animal's suffering. 

17:35 The passenger car has received material damage and a wrecker has been called. The police will write a report on the traffic accident without suspicion of a crime.
