November 12, 18.55, Fraud, Värmland County

During the evening, two complainants in different municipalities in Värmland have been contacted by people who call from unknown numbers. The people claim to be from a furniture company and that the complainants (who are in their 80s) have purchased goods for a five-figure amount.

This is however not true. The scammers are trying to persuade the complainants to provide information that will allow them to obtain money in the end.

The police would like to urge everyone to hang up the calls, if they come, and then make a police report.
