A woman has stabbed another woman near a laundry room. The stabbed woman has been taken to hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

At the same time, a fire suspected of being arson has broken out in an apartment in the same multi-family house. The fire has been extinguished by the fire department and no one has been injured.

A preliminary investigation into aggravated assault and arson is underway.

Two crime scenes are cordoned off where technical investigations by the police's forensic technicians will be conducted.

Due to the injuries the victim suffered and the risk of spread at the fire, the charges have been changed to attempted murder and aggravated arson. The title is also changed accordingly.

The woman suspected of the crimes fled the scene but the police operation that followed resulted in her being apprehended.
