The man received an SMS stating that he had purchased a mobile phone. When he contacted to explain that he hadn't bought anything, the scammers said he would have to speak with bank personnel. In connection with this, the scammers are believed to have obtained account information. The scammers are also said to have gone to the man's home, where they stole jewelry and other valuables. A report on fraud has been filed.
